Those Leftover Stars from Fret Not Yourself

Oh, for a book and a shady nook, either indoor or out.
~John Wilson

Quilting

We lost power during Hurricane Beryl for five days. After trying to keep some food in an igloo and on the counter, eventually I dumped it all. We still have canned goods and a few restaurants are open near us. We had water the whole time which helped a lot. Although I knew we’d lost power {and therefore air conditioning} I kept trying to turn on the fans. So silly.

Remember those leftover stars used in the corners of BB1? Now that they are ...

A Bit More Retrospection (Bonnie Hunter Designs) from TheEclecticAbuela

As I was looking back at my Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilts (see previous post), I thought it would be interesting to remind myself of the other BH patterns I have made. I have included  Bonnie's name for the pattern and my name for individual quilts [in brackets], if they differed. The year indicated was the year that I completed the project.

Carolina Chain (2015)

Patches and Pinwheels (2015)

Grassy Creek [AKA October Picnic] is Complete! from TheEclecticAbuela

Every year, I enjoy creating a version of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. This year, her quilt was called Grassy Creek.

Farmhouse Quilt Finished from Fret Not Yourself

"You can't be both awesome and negative.
Choose one."

Evidence indicates I will never have a stash of finished baby quilts. They leave as soon as the the final strings are buried. In the meanwhile, time is passing and the farmhouse quilt will be gifted next month. You may have noticed I'm working to the deadline... as usual.

I was amused to see Julie's latest quilt because we both quilted freehand Baptist Fans. Is that an example of great minds thinking alike? A few years ago Julie gave ...
